Made one trip last weekend while I was down in Louisiana on a fast trip......

I took a temp and got 45 degrees on the surface at my feet at my perch hotspot .May have to go thee later with some rods and jigs. Hope the Crappie  Gills and Bass are there too but not likely .The water is getting too cold for shore fishin' any thing but Yellow Perch I think.

The system that brought all the severe weather to the midwest dipped far enough south to drop water temps from 70 degrees down to 59 in just 48 hours......I was hoping for high 60s while I was down there but this time of the year things are unpredictable across the country including the deep South.....just gotta roll with it.......

John.. tried casting but my little jig wont punch thru the ice... maybe i need to go to tungsten! :)
