Do you love big bluegill?
There are two more sunfish species that roam the Pasquotank River Basin in North Carolina.....I hope to catch one someday

I feel like I'll eventually catch one of these fish but they are on a watch list here in the Pasquotank River Basin along with their cousins, the Black Banded Sunfish....They are supposedly present in coastal rivers from New Jersey down to Florida. I will go directly to the Wildlife Resources Commission if/when I land one.....
Very cool!! Never seen one, just pics.I understand they are very small... 2-3 inches at best ,is that right? Fins like a Crappie! They are endangered in New Jersey where I live .
WOW - almost all tail and fins, sure would put up a good fight on a ultra light or a flyrod.
