The fish in that picture and one of the bass was caught in a pond on base. All of the others where caught in a river that runs through base. The water temp from last weekend was about 84 that was on the Neuse river up stream from New Bern.

Wow, not near as bad as I wold have expected. The humidity is probably in the 80's as well. Those ponds on base?

I have had trips planned for the last two weekends. Got rained out on both. Don't mind fishing in the rain but both storms were gully washers and screwed the lakes up. That just don't normally happen in Oklahoma in July. Normally it's dry as a popcorn fart this time of year.

Welcome Chris!
Good looking fish. Pretty hot out that way?
Thank-you for your service to this country!
