I occasionally catch one that go 1/2 pound or more . Our state record of 1 pound 11 oz was caught just down the road from me and even though they claim it came from a pond , I recognize the county reservoir in the picture .

Yes , just about every water reservoir I fish have them in it .

oh so those are lake Red breasted sunfish. I've caught a few incidental RBS in lakes but the two rivers i target them and Bluegills in,as well as smallmouths are loaded with the little tigers!

Yes John , I caught this one on a size 8 wooly booger . I was going for the larger gills I know swim in this reservoir and was thinking a larger fly wood keep the smaller ones off . It didn't work out that way . Actually the largest one of the day bit a 1/100 th jig on a UL spinning rig.

Thanks for the cool pic Gillchaser! Love these little guys and look forward to going for them in a few small streams near me .That a woolly Bugger ? I found they like small black ant patterns and 24th oz feather jigs.
