Jeffrey- Love the Fall bite with Crappie !I've had excellent days in November here in Jersey on my home lake with White Bucktails ,lots of Crappie and many Gills.

GREAT JOB JOHN WITH THE OLD TACKLE AND BUGS!!!!! I never did use brown much but may have to give it a try real soon !

hey john-looks like a brown fly,i have no idea why but whenever i use any brown nymph pheasant tail chenille what ever i always catch crappies.they love brown flies and tiny brown jigs.and where ther is one crappie ther is always more.can't say it enough crappies love brown bugs

Congrats John...the Crappie bite should be picking up in the coming weeks....normally Labor Day in the Carolinas for the true Fall bite to begin......Early on folks like to go at night and very deep on brush piles in the reservoirs.....

Gotta get me a Perch next Greg  .Its a used flyrod I got with a bunch of flies and other stufff for 30 bucks .This Crappie took a beaded nymph my brother tied .
