ALL time favorite? Small Froggie Popper! I'll post a pic ASAP. One on the surface is worth five on a sinking fly. I try not to be a dry fly snob but it's just so dang much fun!
It is deadly on Crappie, Tobias. I tie them in three sizes. A 10 or 12 size for Sunfish, a 4 or 2 for Crappie and a 1/0 short-shank for Bass. A brownish version is awesome in the Eastern Oklahoma streams (very Ozark-like over there). I think it must loook like a Sculpin. An all black version in lakes and ponds imitates a small Bullhead Catfish.
