Do you love big bluegill?
Archives..............Crank Baits and Big Gills....
I've experienced my best results on crank baits with water temps between 60 and 80 degrees.........it is a nice way to catch some of the largest fish in a spawning colony.......I always keep one rigged and fish the nest perimeter with a crank bait similar to this one made by Strike King.....the Bitsy Minnow...........

I actually have a couple locations where I enjoy employing a crank bait with my telescopic pole.........a very unique approach but big action and high energy can often be the result..........actually allows me to use finesse when placing the crank bait in the strike zone softly thus not spooking catchable fish..............
