Thanks JB....I'll have to check that out in neighboring Virginia.....my region in N.C. is to rural for any of those stores....

If you can't find wax worms in bait shops, you might try pet supply stores. In California, crickets are just about never found in bait shops, and even wax worms can be hit or miss, but large pet supply shops like PetCo and PetSmart have both. Ask in the tropical fish area and they should be able to help you.

Understand Jim.....I would have to mail order the waxies to get them here.....I really like the tiny grass shrimp added to a micro jig but things have slowed considerably in recent weeks with our ever changing weather....

Up here Jeffrey I have been doing the wax worm/meal worm gig as a tipping agent...better than garden worms at the current time. But we have skim ice...so I am at a stand still.

Time to tie jigs!

I decided to release these guys since I want to go tomorrow if I can find a few Grass Shrimp...They're getting harder to locate in the colder waters also.......I just need 15 or 20 and it'll be worth going for a couple/three hours...
