I agree, Jeff! The guys who get them are often catching them as a by-catch while targeting other species. These mounts are spectacular!

Sadly no stats…  The fisherman who caught it while bass fishing probably just thought..  "man, that's a pretty big Bluegill, should I eat it or maybe get it mounted?".. not realizing just what a true trophy of a fish he had just caught.  Just how many hours do you think all the members of BigBluegill.com have put in to catch a fish like this?  Even a smaller one of 12 inches!?

Jeff...nearly 15 inches puts this fish in the possible 4 lb category...any stats on this incredible catch?
