Hey Troy thanks......we are also seeing up and down water temps and unseasonably low water......most years we won't see wind out of the North during May and often we go weeks without significant wind in any direction except for an occasional late cold front.....but it's always a difficult pattern when the jet stream parks over the central United States like it is now.....this morning I got to fish two hours and had to put it on the trailer when three foot swells had developed in short order.....I have kept detailed records for more than twenty years and this year's weather has only happened in two other years and we had above average fishing during the summer those years so I'm happy......it's just weird to be ten days into May and it hasn't broke loose everywhere......Just on the Albemarle this week, I saw between 65 and 78 degree surface temps and this negatively impacts the bite.......Good luck the rest of the month and beyond!

Nice fish!! It's been a very unstable spring here in Kentucky. I have fished pretty hard from the bank and did just ok. I'm hoping for a bonanza in the next two weeks.
