Do you love big bluegill?
This is a study in seasonal behavior and productive seasonal tecniques and baits with the notes (although not detailed enough) I take on how they were caught .10 were caught in my home lake ,and the other two were less than 10 minutes away. All Males except Feb.fish is Female

Cool David glad you like ! I hope you make a Calender slideshow as well .I never caught a redear but I would like to do a mixed calenders with Pumpkinseeds as well as Red Breasted Sunfish and Green Sunfish which I catch ocassionally.
WHAT AN OUTSTANDING IDEA! A GILL AND REDEAR CALENDER WOULD BE just the thing to be able to look at all year long!!!! Great pics by the way and I can hear the fish frying right now!
I really dont think so Tony, that bottom row first fish was near 10" and its a dark September fish and the 2nd one on top row was a Feb. Fish .Seems to me the hens were lighter than that and smaller flaps.
What about the top row, 2nd fish from the left, and the bottom row, 1st fish on the left.... I struggle with details lately, but could either or both of those be female? I see the bottom left fish has a good sized opercular flap, but it's coloration is reminiscent of a female.
Glad you enjoy Tony .I realize they are all Males. Gonna have to make a 'Hen' album too.
Nice john! I love the big male with the fly rod! Classic!
Thanks Jeffrey I am now having success with the album dragging one ast a time ,updating ,then drag another ,update etc ...3 more to go.
Good thought John...this will be a cool album!
