Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

These are both dart jigs and 1/64 ounce jig heads on smaller soft plastics......Out of these I put Tomato Seed and Pink Glow near the top of my list......

Here's one of my trout magnet kits that I have modified to my liking. I often substitute a 1/50th ounce jig head pictured in the various compartments. I also tip these baits as I do the others that I fish for strike enhancement. The best test is to experiment in your waters and see what they like best. The top center tray is one of my favorite color soft plastics, tomato seed, but it is  NOT one of the traditional colors included in the standard trout magnet. Sometimes size matters as when the water temperatures are colder we normally want to size down for better results. But my attraction to micro jigs like the trout magnets is also the fact that they fish real nicely from a shorter telescopic, like my 10 footer that I love to fish in areas with overhanging limbs. I always employ these baits under a float, the colder it is the smaller float I use for detecting lighter strikes.
