Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Using fixed float /Tabbert jigs tipped with worm pieces and fishing by the NW inflow for an hour .Wind from the SE. 7 Yellow Perch , 3 bluegills, 1PSxBG 2 Pseeds and 2 White Perch. Cast by that cover of Leaves and watch the float and bait travel that way .Classic food lane/ cover ambush location . Always catch at least a few pseeds when I see shallow leave cover / water feed lane .

Hey Joe!- This NW cove spot really turns on after a warm rain in the Spring and slows during the hotter months , then is my favorite UL Pan fishing spot again in the fall.

John

Nice, looks like a perfect area for a little fixed line float fishing . Should be able to get a few zero tension drifts

good idea John;; sooner or later-- that spot will produce for you buddy!  it just has that ( right look ) to it!!

Oh and Carl I took the float off after some catches and fished the floor , shot, #6 hook, worm. Didn't do much better . Still all small fish . This is from shore and my choice of hours fishing here aren't prime . I should hit it at different hours and see if the bigger fish come in .

Was beat there today Jim .Small Pseeds, YP and Gills .  Always prefer fishing there when it's overcast . Maybe when the sun gets low later I'll go back .

Reminds me of fishing spillways below millpond dams on the Delmarva...always a solid spring gathering place...good job!

Yes Carl they'll take it off bottom too .Particularly the Perch !
