Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Once Easter arrives in coastal North Carolina....things turn loose for a variety of species on the Albemarle.....could be solid Swamp Crackers, Big Tuxedo Crappie and yes my personal favorite.....Coppernose!

Thanks Mike......there are some quality redears on the Albemarle but not as concentrated as big Coppers.......I don't often say I'm going shellcracker fishing here like I did down in South Carolina on the Santee Cooper.................but I'm still Redear friendly.......LOL

Thanks guys......I do like them all Carl.....I'll take a good redear bite in a minute......the best shellcracker fishing in this part of the country hands down would be the Suffolk lakes in extreme Southeastern Virginia....We catch many 10-11 inch class fish but the lakes I mentioned are head of the class with 2 pound plus fish caught every year.....
