Had 76 sunfish today as summer winds down.....thunderstorms and heavy rains early morning followed by gusty Northerly winds up to 25 knots....

Ready to get back on these fish..........today is a washout but perhaps tomorrow will be better.....1 to 2 inches of rain expected for the Albemarle......can't go everyday I guess!

We're having relatively stable water temps right now and have for several weeks thus the fishing has been a little better than normal for this time of the year.....In the coming weeks through the full moon in October I will begin seeing the Crappie/Gill overlap which is shorter in the Fall than the spring as any sharp decreases in water temps will send remaining coppers deeper........
