A deep bite in the creek channels on a Northland Bro Bug # 8 meal worm with a live cricket.....Most fish were sitting near bottom in six to eight feet of water......

As big as some of these gills were today......you still needed micro gear to detect the subtle takes near bottom....I was using a tiny fixed foam float that I had tuned to be just under the surface......no resistance on the fish.....
