Do you love big bluegill?
This dragonfly mimic has turned into a multi species killer on the Albemarle.....This particular dragonfly numbers in the millions in this region during the hot and humid months....

I guess it happens that way Jim but I tend to lean towards a good imagination......nice work putting this one together.......
Glad it's a winner, Jeffrey. That color pattern by the way, was just a shot in the dark. Lucky, I guess!
hmmmm! I just happen to have a few jig heads in that size- and material!! soon as I finish your order jeff- I;m making some of these for myself!
Nothing pictured for a reference.....it's a 1/32 ounce which is my favorite most of the year......
I may have to tie up a few for around here. Is that a 1/80th jighead?
It's amazing how well this jig works when you find a colony of active dragonflies popping the water's surface and landing in the area.....tie one on and hold on.....I place it shallow under a float and fish it around heavy vegetation that attracts the native bugs........This is something these fish have seen before and they respond favorably more times than not.......
