Luckily, I didn't loose everything. The box landed in the water, upright, but open. Some of Carl's bugs had fallen out, but the bulk of my stuff was still in the tray.
When it comes to a kayak, if it doesn't float, leash it! A lot of folks will rig a "lid" over the top of their crate.
I hear ya, Dick. I did it once last season and now this time. I hate when it happens because I take great care to keep my tackle box and gear organized, neat and clean. Hopefully, this is the last time this year. At least I found all the lures and flies...some of which were Dick's beauties. I took my time and got back in the game asap. Allen, I can't imagine tipping over and everything going in the drink. I'd flip out. Even though the yak is extremely stable, I doubt I'll do much, if at all, standing and casting. The seats are comfortable and spin 360 degrees. No need to tempt fate.
…looks like a nice mix there!
Don't you hate it when you go to pick up your tackle box and remember as all the stuff is falling out you forgot to latch the lid. Don't you hate it when it has happened numerous times before and it just don't seam to sink in. I'm that person.....
Even worse when you're on a floating platform, and it tips over into the water. Ask me how I know......
DONT YOU JUST HATE IT WHEN YOUR TACKLE BOX TIPS OVER AND SPILLS OUT ALL OF YOUR BAITS ! LOL
