I DUNNO! Some folks said they were herring. Some said they were young drum. We caught a ton of them so I just figured we would keep a few for catfish bait. Still havn't tried them out yet. There were some big ones caught that day but we threw em back to breed! They dont fit in the frydaddy anyhow. LOL My slot is determined by the size of my fryn basket.
