Do you love big bluegill?
Back In mid May we battled Thunderstorms and heavy downpours but managed a couple monarchs including this 11" plus Coppernose on the Pasquotank....

He's talking about it Tony but I have to get him off that tying bench for a couple days........LOL
TONY IT'S MY BIGGEST AMBITION IN LIFE, TO FISH WITH SIR JEFFREY, and learn all I can. THis will be the culmantion to my fishing expeditions of my entire life ........
I could be wrong, but I have a suspicion that Tooty might be going fishing with Jeffrey this spring...........
WHAT a great fish there Jeffrey!!!!! Can't wait to take a pic or two of these when I get there!!!
Thanks Troy....my friend caught this fish out of my boat but I create a "team" approach too include friendly competition among us....I'll yield to a personal best any time we can get one....Interesting day as we were threatened continually from passing thunderstorms but they never got to us that day...just a couple short duration downpours but the otherwise overcast conditions made for a great fishing day. We still talk about it when we get together!
Wow, massive bluegill Jeff. That fish looks to be 1.4lb fish, really thick tail on that thing...beautiful pic.
Thanks Jim and Rick......sometimes I head out to fish and think my driveway is blocked but in turns out that "doc" is just making sure he isn't left behind! Coppernose Rule in the Coastal plains of North Carolina, Virginia and South Carolina......
I gotta come south and catch a coppernose someday.
Great and classic photo!
This was a great day and "Doc" was tickled to death with his catch......Definitely a pole bender on a little tributary called the Pecan Orchard.......
