Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Transport becomes much easier and more stable. Much lighter frame support after removing all the lightly used frame add-ons.

Thanks Jim and Jason. I know what you mean about carrying everything. I turned it into a cart system instead of a drag-on-the-ground system. Much easier to move from car to water and water back to car.

Sounds like you will have a ball Leo and can't let you have all the fun so I guess I"ll have to go up to Doc's for some big gills and take a shot or two. Well they are big for me anyway and may range up to 9 1/2-10 inches or so.

Will take plenty of photos. Been missing out on showing documenting photos. The water here is quite cold year round. The surface may flux between 85 down to 40, but at the 20ft depth, the water inversion tend to stay at 55 to 59 year round. Stocked rainbow trout and holdovers tend to linger at this depth. Largest I've hauled out was over 5lbs.

There are a handful of brown trout in there. However, we like to return them back into the water, since the brown in this water are very rare. We want them to be reproducing once again. Bass tend to eat them up quite quickly during spawning season.

You bet I want to see the EH3. I'm still scratching my guess on the "mini" portion of it. Inflatable with outboard motor? A raft? A log?

HEY LEO , WANT TO SEE THE PIC OF "EH3" I'M PUTTING IT ON IN 20 MINUTES if you like.Have you guesssed what it is yet? hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhha hahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......

OOOOOOOOOOOOOUTSTANDING LEO and will you take pics of fish for us all to oooooggle over!!!!! WATER MUST REALLY BE COLD if trout are in that lake. Browns, rainbows, or cutthroats?

Comment by Leo Nguyen on October 11, 2012 at 9:13am

Sorry David, but they don't allow such large "boat" to be deployed in the lake, unless it's their own row boat for rental, which happens to be $45 a day. I'll be taking my float tube with me, rigged with the fish finder for depth and water monitoring. I know exactly where they are, especially with the exploded weed growth for the past 3 months.

I will definitely taking a few of my experimental flies with me in a spectrum of color for this time of year, include 3 of yours, perfect for 5ft near structures those lurking trouts and crappie. I want to kick myself for nothing have a spare spool to load a WF sinking line for your rod. I'll be bringing the micro reel with the 2# test instead as sinking line.
