This one took a Live Herring Leo , my Pickerel took a dead bait that didn't survive the small bucket even though the aerator did a decent job . I salt shiners or Herrings when i get home if there are left overs.I catch Perch ,Crappie and Pickerel as well as Catfish on the salted ones .

Now you got me interested John. Do you mind showing me the salted herring bait/can that it came from. This peaked my interests on the oil and salt content that drove the bass to bite.

YES , very close to the Pickerel I caught .The big guys hanging out together ! I have found Prime FISH real estate on this lake .
