Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Water flows naturally through the lake from the Patuxent River and has a spillway downstream.

I was able to get the length but I didn't have a scale handy because we were walking the bank so we minimized our totes. It felt like two pounds easy and maybe a tad bit more. I haven't caught too many in my lifetime, a few in Missouri growing up and some small ones in the Great Smokey Mountains when I lived in Knoxville, Tennessee.

I too commend you for releasing that fish. Maybe one of your grandsons will catch her at another time/ Think of the thrill that would be for them and Grandpa. What a great way to finish a visit!
