Well the 3 treble ones anyway .

Can anyone ID the ? bait? I believe I bought it in the 80's.

THESE ARE SOME OF MY FAVORITE VINTAGE LURES , THE SHAPKESPEARE MOUSE WAS MADE FOR AT LEAST 30 YEARS . A GREAT BAIT to be sure and used to use em when I was still a bass fisherman. I would reel em just fast enough so the head would be underneath the water and the butt sticking up in the air leaving a little wake behind it . BBBBBBam a bass would almost always hit when I would quit reeling it after a short retrive and then let it sit motionless .......... These are all wood ones from the top two in Checkerboard boxes 50's models, middle two from Marty's in Wisconsin or Minnesota , can't remember which state now. Marty was a sporting goods and boat motor dealer up north and had his own model made custom by Shakespeare as a promotional item for sale. The bottom two red & whites are the small size also in wood 60's lures. The black at right is a 70's HONG KONG made for Shakespeare and this is the first type of mouse I used and still use today still. Have my original one still and have been looking for a replacement for YYYYYYYYYYYYears for it and finally found a mint one with no cracks in paint.
   THESE LURES BRING BACK MANY MEMORIES FOR ME AND THOUGHT I'D SHARE EM WITH ANYONE WHO LIKES THE VINTAGE STUFF....

THIS IS MY ALTIME FAVORITE LURE , COLLECTOR TYPE ANYWAY.....

L&S MINNOW , MODEL 20 SINKER, 2M 18 COLOR WHICH IS " YELLOW FLASH" ..... NEVER have used one of these cause they are so rare to find mint in the box with a mint box just can't bring myself to use it when I have so many others to choose from. I believe they quit making boxes like this late 50's.
   Great little lure outta my collection and to me is priceless. Yup they probably made millions of these but trying to  find one is like Hens Teeth. .......
    I don't believe this one ever saw water because it doesn't have the familiar milky white coating all L&S get after being in the water just once.
    This one will never see water .................................

I only have 1 mouse and his tail has seen better days. Nice collection Tooty.

I remember those MirrO Lure's Tooty but never recall owning one .They made jointed ones too didn't they ? Those are great looking Mouse baits ,never had them either.

Awesome Tooty and mint as can be. Never open it it would be ashamed to degrade the lure or price just by opening it.

HEY MR. BARNARD, there is a fella on here by the name of EARL W. STORY and he is apparently a wiz at these old motors. He just posted a video on here the other day with an old one he got running and it runs like a new one . You might want to contact him ........

Oh yes John they made small ones that were jointed in lots of sizes up to Pike etc. the smaller ones were called Panfish models. I'll post a pic of a few of em for ya.

HEy Dick naw the value of these lures is not hurt by opening the boxes cause the boxes were never sealed back then like they are today. Besides it is priceless to me and not for sale anyway......

Tooty, these are not small collection. Small collection is me..three rods. Yours is considered as an old fiberglass fishing armorment.

HHHHHHHA HHHHHA LEO and I'm just trying to thin the herd some so to speak. I have a few others that won't get rid of at any price , but it may be fun for folk to look at the old rods and think about "THE GOOD OLE DAYS " BUDDY........

THANKS JIM THE ROD at the bottom with the black sliding band seat is 100% mint in all ways , not even scratches on the barrel of the seat. The other two are pretty nice though ..When ya get down here Jim you will have lots of rod eye candy to look at buddy , and look forward to you and James coming here......

Tooty back then that's what we started with the Wonder Rod or the Heddons ay least that's what I remember the most.

Yup Dick lots of us got our starts on those rods. Ya know mentioning Heddon Rods I personally think they made the most beautiful rods back in the day. I'm fortunate enough to have three of those in my collection , they are Heddon Golden Mark 50's and are a translucent amber color and just plain great.....

i'm a little younger,we all wanted our dad's garcia conolon and mitchell reels.have 2 my uncle gave me before he passed and got a conolon 5 star in very nice shape ad got a garcia mitchell 308 for free.neither one has ever been used.gonna use it on my spring trip .want to remember what it felt like before graphite and listen to that mitchell's clicking whirr

I remember those reels well Jim !!!!!! I also like the round 304 Mitchell's also. Back in the day about the only reels any better than those were the Alcedo Micron's outta Italy . Very expensive now !

ha tooty i only heard of those microns,another highly collectable reel are the DAMs i think they are called from germay.saw some at a show and they were pricey to say the least.love the sound those old reels make.

Your right Jim. I had one in the 70's. It was called the Dam Quick nice reel.

This pair of L & S Minnows just came in the mail this morning and are my favorites of all the Mirro Lure colors , YELLOW FLASH ... BOTH ARE MINT IN BOXES AND ONE BOX IS SLIGHTLY SHELF WORN AND THE OTHER IS NEAR MINT I'D SAY . IN ANY CASE I really like em alot and have several in this color combo.....These are pre 60's because of the boxes and hardware....

THESE TWO 7'9" CAME THIS MORNING IN THE MAIL AND ARE SSSWEET AND DUPLICATE OTHERS I HAVE HERE, CAN'T  HAVE TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING YA KNOW...

BOTTOM FLY ROD IS A MODEL 1470 MADE IN 1955 AND TOP ONE IS A MODEL 1280 T MADE IN THE 5O'S ALSO.

THE OLE SNAP LOCK REEL SEATS ON THESE STILL WORKING PROPERLY AFTER 60 YEARS , AMAZING ......
