Comment by John Sheehan on June 22, 2017 at 5:31am: I need to find more dams at the headwaters of rivers that have Walleyes .This guy was right up in the rapids of a small river kissed up to the dam as far as he could swim .18,1/4 " .Took a small Spin Jig /Orange Southern Pro tube .Nice 4# UL catch .

What is the main diet of those Saugers and Walleyes by you ?Up here I believe the top bait is the Alewife Herring with Perch and small Bass secondary choices.I have never caught a Walleye on any live bait ,just Shad Raps long model Cranks, Rapalas and a swimbait.

Comment by John Sheehan on November 17, 2016 at 3:06pm: Ah thanks ,for the reply Dick .My 1st Walleye came in Spring I think it was the end of April .It was 18" and caught on a Shad Rap in the Monksville Reservoir. Was back in the late 80's or maybe early 90's.
