These fish were more like 26-30 feet deep .I hade the depth finder out today and my previous guess of 10-20' from a map was inaccurate

13,1/4" on live shiner with 2 split shot ,trolling out at around 20' getting more Perch than usual while targeting Crappie which are generally between 20-10'.45 degree water

Got my 2nd Yellow Perch(11,1/2") while targeting Crappie with shiners ,drifting and trolling .The 2nd shot helped get it down closer to bottom .It was a cloudless day and though the sun is  at a low angle  in the sky in November ,I fished noon-2:30 .Prefer the 3-5 pm low light for the Crappie.

Same technique for Bullheads though I haven't tried it ,wonder if it works on pother fish .I imagine Walleyes can be skinned in this manner too. Anyone tried it on Bull heads or Walleyes?

Spent some time with my boy Matt at Deep Creek Lake this week. Our best yellow perch was this splendid 14.5 inch Maryland Citation winner that hit my #3 Mepps in a shallow sun-warmed flat.
