Comment by dick tabbert on July 24, 2017 at 12:46pm: John when I fished in N.C they were small biggest about 10" same when I moved back up north and fished Lake Erie caught lots of white perch around 10" or 11". I have never seen any bigger than that.

Comment by John Sheehan on June 6, 2017 at 1:50pm: Today;53 degrees in June ! and overcast ,Got 9 YP and 2 BG casting ST jigs from shore .I didn't catch until I abandoned the jiggled rod tip moderate retrieve and switched to a crawling steady retrieve .Hands were a bit cold but fish were warm to the touch on release.

Comment by John Sheehan on June 6, 2017 at 1:34pm: So far these Squirrel Tail Jigs have caught 5 species in my home lake casting from shore ;Yellow Perch White Perch , Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, and Crappie. The Yellow Perch are the the most numerous catches and will stalk a slow retrieve and take at your feet . 1/8 and 16th oz. pictured her but I am making up and catching on white headed 32nd oz. Jigs as well.
