Opening Day

Any of you got any traditions that you continue for the opener? Special spots with special people? I know bluegills are open year round but there is something about the opener.......isn't there? Or am I the only one?
My opener will hopefully consist of some bluegill fishing but since I am going with my dad it will be mostly walleye fishing. We restarted our tradition fishing together last year and went to Whiteface (I had lived in NC for 7 years). This year we are staying a little closer to home and going to a small lake called Strand. I am looking forward to spending the day with my dad on the lake. We don't get to many days together anymore so we slate the opener as one of those days just for us. Hopefully the fish will be there too!
