Has anyone else tried this fly yet?  Works well here in Nebraska.

Bryan, This is a good fly!!!!! Here are some pic of the fish and fly!!!!!!! Chartruese and Black!!!!!!! Okie, PUNKINSEED!!!!!!!

nice simple durable fly Greg.i have been saving all my hackle tips also, now i got a use for em.do you weight any of them?maybe a bead chain for eyes as the gills tend to drop deep here in the summer.

Jim, It is weighted with bead chain eyes!!!! I was also using intermediate sinking line!!!! The BLUEGILL were in Shallow, in the middle of the afternoon!!!!!!! Should be deep!!! Guess they didn't read the same report I did!!!!!

REDEAR!!!!!

First one on the GREASY MONKEY!!!!

I tried it for the first time last night.  I was considering it for a bream fly swap I am in on another site, and wanted to try it out before I made a dozen for the swap.  Mission successful!  It catches fish in Virginia!

Very nice tutorial! I need to attempt to tie this one and see how it works down here in Florida. I just started tying a couple months ago and so far have only done foam type poppers and spyders time for some subsurface stuff.

 Thanks for the video!

Wonderful instruction, and very very very relaxing music. Miss Kawaii.

I should have included this other how too...  Dyeing Feathers   This is how I get a all fluorescent yellow fly.

Hope this helps, and thanks for all the input....

Bryan W.

You are freaking awesome!

The dyeing diy is kind of old and some of the links don't work anymore, but at least you can see the process.   :)
