Great game fish, especially taking surface flies ...you can't believe how vicious they hit top water fles ...

Hey Paul, I know you said your intrest was in tying Hair Bugs but have you given any thought to foam? Their quick, cheap and easy to tie. That is an advantage down here in Florid with all our Toothy Critters, nuthin worse than investing an hour or so tying a really nice deer hair bug then have a small gator, pickeral, gar or other Tooth Monster destroy it the first cast. Something flashy noisey and diving like a foam Stealth Bomber should work on Peacocks.

BTW I've been dying to catch a Peacock Bass on Fly planing on headed down there ( I live in Central Florida ) next spring to give them a shot.

I downloaded a .pdf of a foam Dalhberg Diver pattern.  It gives you a printout of a template so you can cut your own foam blanks to tie the fly with.

Could I get a link to that also? Sounds very interesting.

Me too, please?

Well, I seem to have lost the link to the .pdf.  However, I still have the original file.  If you PM your email address to me, I'll try to email it.

 Hit me at flflash47@yahoo.com

 Thanks!

 Lee

On it's way!

Paul

I will be some tying some Muddler this weekend and will post them. They are made of deer hair. If you get a chance look them up.
