Do you have any idea if a boat can be launched at Rhoden Cove on Jackson?

Iamonia is at full pool. Jackson and carr are up several feet. I'm taking the bass more seriously this year because of a online contest. Caught 8 yesterday. The biggest 19 3/4". Looking for one in the 25" range. Still love to catch the panfish for the table. With the cold weather jigging is not working for me in the shallow lakes.

I'm not sure on your question. Maybe one of the guys over there who fish the lakes can help out. I know when Jackson came back up it didn't take but a few months for good fishing. Now the sinkhole has opened again and drained a lot of water out.

This will be my first year fishing the lakes around tallahasee where they actually have some water in them. I've enjoyed the last few years and actually figured out how to catch fish in low water times. It usually involved dragging my yak to a hole others wouldn't tread. Lakes that were 20 to 100 acres are now 10 to 100 times that. Suggestions now that the lakes are full? How long will it take for the fish to populate that much water.

I'm thinking late summer before the gills are thick in our lakes.

I hope so J.B. we sure could use a good year for fishin, past two years you had to work for a good mess of fish.

Hi Clint, you are right. We just might have one heck of a spring for bream, bass, and cats

Not at all Lee, very glad to have you. Actually it's good to have a contact down in your area. I have read about th Harris chain all my life but nevery fish down there.

This week the Chipola, Apalach, and Choctawchee Rivers are in a huge flood stage. Fishing the Choctaw has been poor for past couple of springs and all the guy have their fingers cross that this flood will help out fishing a great deal.

About t 3 or 4 years ago when we had the same condition and  that spring you could drop a cricket in a mud hole and get a bite. I'm primarily a bream guy but switched to other pursuits when the bit became so difficult, Right now I'm into mullet snatching and doing very well.

Hope to hear more from down your way.

I hope you don't mind that I joined your group? I'm actually in Central Fl on the Harris Chain but I travel up your way to fish alot Suwannee, Chipola, Waccissa and some other rivers and lakes. I have several fishing/camping trips planed up there for this year it's pretty up there.
