Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I bought several wire benders and lure making machines to build some Pearl spinners like we used to buy in the sixties. However, I have found that I love building all kinds of weird lures for BG and amazed that some really catch fish. I built a "double up" that I can actually attach two or three jigs side by side to and have caught two fish at the same time with it on numerous occasions. I also like to get tire weights from Tires for Less and make my own sinkers to use in my pond. Next, I want to try fly tieing..... Great stress reliever and wonderful feeling when every once in a while one catches a fish. LOL
Love this site and all the wonderful sharing folks here.

You are doing some weird stuff. I am into weird! Got any pics of that weird 'Double up" thing?

Since this is a tackle review group, how about giving us a review about the wire benders and lure making machines. Name brands, where we can get, costs, pros and cons? We'd like to know more.

I used Hagen tools. pretty expensive to set up, but they do work well. I will try to get a pic of the lure you mentioned. I really enjoy the feeling of designing and building my own lure, when it catches fish. When other folks see me catching fish and ask what the name of my lure is, the look on their face when I tell them I haven't named it yet. Love those looks. Building lures is very relaxing for me.
You got my ear Billy.More pics and descriptions please!
