Yesterdays trip....

Well, they were pretty much done spawning. Saw a few still loosely hanging around the beds, but didn't catch any of those.

Instead, I just fished out from the bedding areas, in 12-25 feet. Ended up catching a bunch of sunnies (even mix of BG and RE's) 3 of the RE's were over 1 lb, with the biggest being this 1.6 lb'er.

Geeez ! I guess I had forgotten how big a 2 lb Sunfish was ! As I'd have bet my truck that this 1.6 lb'er would be at least 2.0 !

The "heart pounding" moment of the trip, was when I stuck something "good" in 25ft of water.... fought crazy hard... got me into some weeds... finally got it to the boat, and it was a 3 lb'er alright ! Too bad it was a Largemouth Bass :( Ya' know, I don't mind catching a LMB sometimes too.... but I'd prefer them to be over 10 lbs.... 15 lbs is better ;) LOL

Sorry the pic was slightly OOF. I'd have taken more, and been more careful, if it had been 3+ lbs :)
