Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Some time ago, my best fishing buddy and I took off on a trip to a local river (80 miles away) to ravage the population of bluegills. As we cruised down Interstate 80 , listening to music and swopping lies. Suddenly out of nowhere, a State Trooper appeared and proceeded to hand me a speeding ticket. I thought to myself "this is bad" but we keep going. About 20 minutes later, a perfectly good tire blew-out. Okay, we took care of that tire change and decided to ride the back roads the rest of the way since bad luck was on our trail. As we drove the back roads we came upon a creek leading to the river and decided to give it a try. No Luck! We headed back to the car to continue on to the river only to find that the car keys had been locked inside the trunk. After a 2 hour wait for the locksmith to arrive, I thought it best to head home. NO FISH, $175 speeding ticket,$150 tire,$75 lock service. I almost decided to quit fishing. (NOT !)
Can anybody top this ?

Nope!!!!!! My luck is only bad ONCE I get on the water.

Caught a water moccasin instead of a fish.

A few, few, few years ago. I took my teenage boys fishing in a small 12 ft flat boat. We caught a few at our normal spot. Ok time to move to dock area to see what we could find. I was at the front of the boat pulling up the anker. It was stuck on a stump. As I pulled on the rope the noise of the boat went under. This was the same time my oldest son hit the gas to the motor. You’re getting the picture , It took 5 sec. and we were all swimming and the boat was at the bottom of the lake
