Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Hello everyone! I hope the fishing as been good to you all! School has started for me now, as of August 23rd. This puts a serious damper on my bluegill adventures! I'm still goning to try and get out a few more times before things get nasty. When I say nasty, I mean NASTY! We are talkin' duck hunting weather, 40 mph winds with rain, sleet, snow all mixed in. It's coming, just a matter of when.

I got some good projects on tap this semester. I will be making aluminum molds for a micro soft plastic I have come up with. I think it's going to be a killer! Lets just say it's loosely based of a copepod! This mold will be a 6 cavity, small production mold. The biggest challenge is drawing this thing up in a 3D drawing program..ie SolidWorks! I have my work cut out for me! If these turn out the way I want them to, I will post some pictures, and if you gillers want to do some field testing in the spring, I would be happy to pour you a dozen. More details later on that!

Here is an article from our newspaper, here in my town talking about the Crazy Horse project we are doing. Copy and paste this in your browser! Good article!

I am ready for the hardwater season, I CAN'T WAIT! Until then, keep up the good fishing and great pics as well! I will try to participate as much as I can!

Hi Steve! Yes this model will be in the visitor center. You won't miss it...it is a 16' x 10' topographical scale model! It is 1/300th scale! Please let me know what you think! It should be done this fall and we would like to bring it out in November.
Steve, here is an update on the model! It will be done by spring break now. We have run into some issues and we all want and are perfectionist.
