Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I love to throw tiny cranks and always catch the biggest fish of the trip with them.

Anyone else use them as well? And what is your fav. crank?

Mine is a tie between the Yo-Zuri 2"Pins minnow and yo-zuri`s snap beans.

WOW !!! thats a fatty, beautiful blue gill, great catch.

LOF, teh Rapalas are a blast to fish with, I've got a stack of'm in my box, the AC Shiners are basicaly the same but teh shiners are hand made up in O.H. by a mom and pop outfit, I've actually called the factory and the "MOM" half of teh opperation answered the phone then she let me talk to "POP", we talked for 15-20 mins I guess, very nice people.

I gotta get me a bitsy minnow to try out, sounds liek ther very well liked amogst the tribe.

Bet that one plug is absolute dynomite on fish.(I just had to say it)

Big Gill  there Jim!!Wow! Thanks for the split shot tip .I'll try that.

The F03 and F05 Floating Rapala`s are great little baits. I like popping them along the surface like a small insect and before long the lure has disapeared! But working them slowly will catch alot of fish too; not just bluegill but trout, smallmouth, spotted bass, lagre-mouth, perch, ect...

The new X-Rap #4 are doing well for me as well but it is hard to beat the Yo-Zuri baits.

I like the slab board. That is neat!
they have a rebel crickhopper that always works for me on bluegill and also the rebel floater the smaller version
The Rebel "creature" baits are really good too esp. the grasshopper crankbait in yellow or tan.
My favorite Multi species lure is the Rebel Teeny Wee R .All panfish and a killer Trout lure trolled in lakes!

Thats a good ol` stand by too.

But there is something about that thin minnow profile that drives panfish and smallies nuts!
