Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Water temps ranged from 46.7 to 49.8* F. Fish caught in 3-8' depth. Started fishing around 7:30 and probably didn't get a bite for about an hour or so. Just kept moving and finally found some fish. These fish were in a section of a creek stretched over about a 100 yds or so. The biggest females will probably lay out the first 2-3 weeks in March. The eggs are really developing rapidly in these fish.

The biggest fish I had yesterday was just under 1.5lbs, and I had quite a few over a lb. I caught close to 50 and kept a limit pretty quickly once I found them. Don't get discouraged or give up if the fish you've been catching have moved. This time of year, they're only gonna move so far.Off to Jordan the next two weeks for the crappie tournaments.
