Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Hi All,

I discovered this little tip when tying up some spiders for a fella this weekend.  If you don't have a spring that attaches to your vise, (to hold back the rubber legs while tying the finish knot), use a pair of hackle pliers.  Just pinch and pull up all the legs, take the hackle pliers and pinch them, then lay the tool and the legs along the backside of your vise.  This  keeps the legs just far enough away (and out of the way) to use your whip finisher to tie off the head.  I was using a piece of masking tape for a while, and that worked ok, but realized the hackle pliers worked pretty well and dosn't leave tape goo on your vise.   Good fishin to y'all        -Patrick
