Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Ok I got a 3/4 acer pond added10 bass two year age. In Sept. I added 100 3" bass and 400 hybird bluegull ( and 5lb of minnow, We're catch 9 to 12" bass now.
Are the one we're catching from last year sapanning? The fish I added this year should be about 5 to 6" now right?

A 6" LMB should be about one year of age and should be sexually mature by this time, if I'm not mistaken. LMB spawn in the spring when water temperatures get to about 60 degrees.
No fish in the pond before you started stocking? What state do you live in? Have you tried Pond Boss forums yet? You'll get lots of help there.

I have always been amazed at how many fish there are in your pond Rick. And, they seem to be doing very well, growing nicely. So, I am thinking that the size of a pond doesn't matter as much as other factors such as aeration, feeding, etc

Feeding and having the right food change going on. Ferdalizing, aerating and feed I think is what helping my pond. Now that the fish are getting bigger I'll have to start reducing total number of fish. Pound of fish per acre. 500 2" fish goes to 200 8" fish.  A little rain would really help right now
