Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I was given some beautiful feathers for tying. How should I care for them ?

I Have heard horror stories about mites destroying tying materials.

i keep mine in a big ziplock bag

if they are freshly plucked put them in the freezer in a plastic bag and freeze dry them for awhile.i think mothballs and such leaves a smell on the feathers that will in turn make the fly have the same odors

Food lock systems, the ones that remove all the air, are perfect. Nothing I know of on this planet survives without oxygen. Second choice is ziplock in freezer. Squish most of the air out of em. Then keep in zip locks with the air squeezed out. Should last for years if you keep the bags sealed.
