Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

This is a little off-topic, but worth posting. Had my best day ever fly fishing the surf this morning. Using a 6-weight and my D.T. Special fly, I caught and released 15 snook to 38 inches (six of more than 28), three redfish to 32 inches and jumped three monster tarpon (all better than 100 pounds). I learned how inept a 6-weight rod is when hooked up with a big tarpon.

Sounds like a great day!.....This may sound strange but I've never seen the ocean....I do know that Tarpons are mostly lost on just about any rod.....sounds like it would have made for great video!
Man...that's a lot of big fish! Wow!
Awesome. Although I love lake and pond fishing, ocean fishing is much more suspenseful because at any second you can catch a monster. The weirdest thing I ever caught was a big skate; I refused to unhook that thing.
