New from NC

[Darrell Beam]

Hello all, my name is Darrell and I just joined, looks like a great site,   I from Hickory NC except for a few farm ponds this area isn't known for large gills but as you travel east the size gets better. 

I am going to try to move off of the bank this year and target some better Bream in the deeper water.  I am also going to put in more time with the fly rod.

I usually bass (striper, LMB, spots, and smallies) fish from a Jon boat or a Kayak , but enjoy walking the mountain creeks sometimes to look for trout.  

If your from the NC foothills or if anyone is traveling thru NC on 77 or 40 you won't be very far from my normal fishing grounds  your welcome to ask about fishing out this way, or if I am off I'd be happy to meet up somewhere to wet a hook.
