Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

How many of the BBG faithful enjoy eating Bluegill eggs this time of year?

Sunny side up? I don't think so...

Deep fried? That's more my style... for you newbies who are curious, you CAN feel the texture on your tongue....

I've eaten Yellow Perch roe cooked on the grill while still fishing for them on the ice .I've eaten eggs fresh out of a Lake Trout just after being caught while still in a boat in the North west Territories ,but I've never eaten Bluegill eggs .I'll have to try it sometime!

I'll try anything twice. My motto:

"Twice a philosopher... three times a pervert."

I've had caviar before.  I haven't tried cooking fish eggs that I harvest.  I used to work with a guy that mixes fish eggs in with his scrambled eggs.

I tried yellow perch eggs fried a couple of months ago, and I wasn't a big fan. Too fishy for me. I may consider trying bluegill eggs at some point though.
