Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Couldn't stand it any longer, Put my Swamp People cover on my jon boat and launched it in the watershed yesterday after church. Wind was a little rough and the cover top acted like a sail on the Black Pearl, but we went into the old favorite shallow water hole and anchored down. Nothing!!!!..only caught a couple of stragglers so we had to revert to the hunt and seek method of fishing and went down the shaded side of the lake. With our floats at 3 feet deep and lively crickets we finally found a  small outcrop of bush in deeper water holding some nice Bull gills and before dark made us leave we had taken a good 75 Bluegill out from around that one single bush..I guess it is a where you find them in the hotter days of the summer. Did not think about a pic when we got home. But will next time..I begining to love bluegill and shellcracker fishing more and more with every time I go out after them. I am an crappie fisherman from way back and bluegill fishing is a second love but is becoming an obsession.
