Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

The rod that I wanted was the TFO 8' 4wt rod, 2 piece model...but they said three weeks.

I bought the 7'6" 3wt rod..109 bucks.

I bought that cheap line..

I went to Cabelas and bought their beginners kit..and I don't know if its worth the $40 I paid for it.

I need the bobbin and other tools.

Cabelas didn't have much in stock..

Can someone tell me where I can find the bobbin and other things needed?

Rick, I think you will like your new rod light weight and give you Beautiful Vibrations when the Bluegill is on the end of your rod. I have the 4 wt. rod you speak of but used it only once this last year. Only my 2 and 3 wts. I have 2 of each.
It is hard to believe your beginner kit did have the items you mentioned. Bass Pro shop usually has a good selection of tying tool!!!!!! But so does cabelas in Kansas City.
It rained all day and turned cold, so this afternoon about 5 30, i went to the spillway on the way back home from a visit with friend..and tried out the new fly rod.

it is really light, and seems to cast as good as the other two i have..but the darkness prevented me from seeing what was going on so i will try another time.

One thing is sure, though,..the light weight will be easier on my right arm.
