Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Flyrodding for bluegills is one of lifes greats joys.  It is easy, simple, and relaxing.  All one needs is a four-wt rod, matching line and leader, and a bug-box loaded with no. ten  and no. eight size popping bugs and a few woolybuggers.  I do most of my fishing from a pack canoe, any small stream, or pond is fair game!  If you want peace and serenity this is it!

Hey Bruce... I have a five weight rod... (might be too heavy for Gills) always wanted to try and get into the fly fishing side of gills.... I have tried it a couple of times but the Gills can hit so fast at the lake I fish at... it's almost impossible to set the hook... unless they are very aggressive. I'll keep trying though... There's nothing like a Bull Gill on a fly rod.

Hey Bruce, My weapon of choice is a 2 wt. and a kick boat. Arm chair fishing. But a canoe would be nice in the winter, especially after I found out my electric socks quit working!!!!
