Do you love big bluegill?

Finding Bluegills and shellcrackers when their not spawning.

Where do you most commonly find each of these species when they are off the beds? And what is your go to bait?

Luther. last year me and my fishing partner caught Bluegill and Shellcracker all the way up until it turned cold. Every full moon there are Bluegil and SC that beds throughout the summer months. You can stick to the shallows where you found them in the spring and even when the weather is the hotest you can still bring home a mess of good eating with crickets and redworms. In late summer early fall we slow trolled 1/8 ounce rooster tails in 6 feet of water and picked up small bass, shellcracker and Bluegill. So when the bite slows in the shallows move out a little and troll for them..Good Luck Luther and great fishing..Vic
