Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I was wondering what you all consider your favorite panfish lures?

For spinning, I like Strike King's Bitsy Minnow, Mepps ultra-lite spinner and a 1/16th ounce road runner with a curlytail

For fly fishing, I like a black fur ant.

am itching to try out my favorite bass fishing lure on panfish: Senko worm but scaled back to 2" for panfishing.

Senko's are devastating on bass & hope they are as irresistable to panfish as they are to bass.

Anybody have any luck catching bluegills & other panfish on Senko's ?

Gary when I was really into Bass fishing and threw rubber worms a lot most of the bites were from Bluegills so I have no doubt the Senko's will catch Bluegills. I'm not sure the Senko would be my favorite only because of the diameter of the bait, not saying it won't work but the bite to catch ratio I think will be down just because of the bluegills small mouth. GOOD FISHIN..... and let us know how it does work for you. Beware of Rockbass and Warmouths and Green Sunfish now they can inhale the bait and always a plus to catch.

lol, will take a rock bass anytime...have loved catching ol'google eye since I was a l'il runt in Indiana :)

I like to experiment with different fly patterns that I tie.
