Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Caught these yesterday after church. Hot water but shallow. still in the spawning areas..Somewhere around 80 of these

Nice mess of gills Vic, the fish I caught this weekend in Carolina were also spawning shallow in 86 degree water. There is still a chance to get them shallow if you hurry!
Wish they were still shallow here.  They've been hiding in deep water 'cause of the triple-digit temps. :-(

try shallow water at night when the temp drops

 

Fly rod poppers an hour before Sunset till dark .You'll catch them.
