Documenting BG Spawning dates around the country -

Hi All -

I've been looking forward to BG Spawning coming up, and I got to wondering where they were already spawning. Realizing its already probably to late in some areas - I thought it would be neat if other posters could chime in with dates they first notice Active Breeding of Bluegill and the general location in the country.

Still probably 3-4 weeks away for me - Who has active, spawing BG right now?

Catching allot of females full of eggs in southern indiana but no beds? I would have to say June for us!

Gills should start spawning on our smaller lakes in the next week or so temps are up to solid mid 60's now and with a few warm days they should move up out the 12 ft range to the shallows.Geneva is still around 60 maybe 3 weeks or so for this lake to start popping. Went there 2 days ago and found em one day but couldn't find them a couple days later.
